Friends Do Not Let Friends Scrap Alone

Throw Back Thursday

I was looking for a photo tonight -  I am looking for a baby photo of Kaela to add with her senior photo for the personal "ad" we are thinking about purchasing for the back of her yearbook.  You know the ones with a couple of photos of the child and a message from the parents.  Yep that one....

Anyhoo I was searching way back in my digi files and found a photo that will make you laugh and I just have to share.

Back Story:

I signed up to be a consultant 10-4-2005

As a very excited and new consultant who do you tell first (well beside the hubby) - your best friend!

Amy was supportive of my new venture but not sure she wanted to jump in.  Well I finally convinced her and I think I have a photo from that first order.

The date on the photo is 12-30-2005 and that seems about right for us.  She has never let me live it down!  We joke that I pulled her in kicking and screaming. Almost 9 years later she is still one of my best customers and loves coming to crop.

As for that baby photo of Kaela?  I am still looking for it.  I think it might be in with the "film" photos - please pray I have a digi file for my sanity.

2014 - 2015 Crop Dates

Why am I giving you Crop dates well into 2015?

Well one of the changes that took place at Convention last month was that the catalog (Annual Inspirations Idea Book)  now going to be active for a full year with two Seasonal Expressions Idea Books

The Annual Inspirations Idea Book will be valid through July 2015 so it feels like a good idea to give you crop dates for the entire live period of this catalog.

Crop Dates
July 19, 2014
August 9, 2014
October 11, 2014
November 15, 2014
December 13, 2014
January 10, 2015
February 21, 2015
March 21, 2015
April 18, 2015
May 2, 2015

I am not going to have any Crop nights for June or July 2015 for a very good reason.  My daughter, Kaela will be graduating from high school and I know it is will be a very busy time for us.  I hate having to cancel a crop and there is a very high chance that I would have to cancel for those months.

I am processing catalogs today and they will go live on August 1, 2014 but you can get your copy early and free by stopping by on Crop Night July 19, 2014.

Speaking of crop night:  I have a training event during the day on July 19th in Ft. Worth.  We are still having crop but the training event will end at 4pm.  I will be home asap.  I know most of the time we do not start on time so this should not be a problem but if you come right at 6pm and I do not open the door please know I am on the way.

If you need to contact me my cell is 214-334-4657 and I will be able to give you an ETA.

I will not be mailing out catalogs because starting August 1 you can add a catalog to your online order.  It will be a faster shipping time from CTMH corporate that it is for me to use the media mail option.

Cocoa
Cotton Candy
Crème Brule
Stale
Pacifica
Whisper
Black
Ruby

Cardstock

distresser
******************
Now like I said…
I THINK I am all packed and ready to go but we will see what else I put together to work on there to.

Packing Up

I have been invited to a 7 hour crop with my local CTMH team in May.  I am so excited!  Since I am not going to convention this year because we are having a family reunion so this will be like a mini convention for me.
I have spent the last couple of days making “kits” to take with me so that I do not need a U-Haul to get my stuff there.
I have about 8 kits so far to different card designs I want to work on with each kit containing the supplies to make 10 cards.
Here is the list of items I do not want to forget:

Crop Packing Supplies

Inks Bamboo
Twilight
Cocoa
Cotton Candy
Crème Brule
Stale

Now are you asking yourself why would I need an extension cord?  Janene said the hall is on the dim side and if we wanted to bring a small lamp that we would need to bring our own extension cord.  Smile

I picked cards to work on so that if I spend more time gabbing and do not get as much done as I wanted then I am still in good shape for our crop nights.
Speaking of which – Crop Night is THIS SATURDAY!   April 19th
Are you going to come and play?

Speaking of Crops

We had such a full crop last month and and you may have heard  I do plan on making CTMH my full time career starting January 2014  so I decided I needed to upgrade the trash situation in the Crop Area.
Since the beginning of time (or at least my crop nights) I have used little metal buckets on the tables for collecting trash.  Once a bucket was full I would reach over and dump it into a tall trash can under my are of the table. When we have a full crop I found out that every inch of space is vital!
Here is what I did.

All 6 seats at the crop tables now have a personal drink holder / trash can.  Tiffani made each of the little towels hanging from the trash can because sometimes we all just need to wipe our hands.
I have been wanting to do this for a long time but at $20.00 each x’s 6 seats I had some convincing to do… then I noticed a sale on Amazon.com! (SCORE!)
You would not believe the space that is saved on each table.  I was amazed.
So who is ready for the next Crop Night on October 19th, 2013?
