"No Worries" on a Sunday afternoon
You know that feeling when all of your household chores are done and you have a little free time. Yes, I know it is a rare thing in my house too. In fact I "should" be cooking dinner but I forgot to take the pork chops to defrost so they will give me the pocket of time I need to write this post. But I had a little bit of that feeling today so I took advantage of it. I can always be an adult and do my chores tomorrow.
You guys would be very proud of me because I recently upgraded my original Cricut to the Cricut Air 2. I have been dragging my feet on getting an upgrade because the Cricut and I have not been friends in the past. But since CTMH is transitioning over to digital cartridges my hand was forced. So while holding my nose I ordered the Cricut Air 2 and after today I am so glad I did!
Design Space was so easy to use that I was able to do it myself and that is something I have NEVER been able to do so I am feeling rather accomplished over here. I only sacrificed one sheet of cardstock and that was my fault - not the machines.
I woke up this morning feeling like I wanted to be on the beach. It has been over 109 degrees here in Texas for the past week and we are all starting to melt. But since it was not in the cards to go to the beach because I live in North Texas, I decided to scrap some beach photos.
I pulled out my Make It From The Heart Vol 3 and found a layout design that I liked but it seemed a bit flat for my mood today. Waves.... I needed waves on my layout - enter the Cricut. Then after I cut all of those waves I needed to add color so I used my reinkers to sponge the color on the waves. It was a messy job but I had fun.
The No Worries paper pack (retired and left over paper from the Workshop Your Way kit), Cashmere reinker, and Glacier reinker were the main stars in this layout. Then because the waves and adhesive was so heavy I needed to do a little hand stitching to make sure the photos could stay where I put them. After this layout I might need to order another bottle of Glacier reinker but after the fun I had it will be worth it.

Happy Friday the 13th!
Good Morning!
It has been forever since I have posted an actually blog post but my ducks are in a row this morning so I thought while I am having my morning coffee I could fill you in on what has been going on.
June was AMAZING!
Mike and I traveled to Las Vegas for the 2018 Close To My Heart Annual Convention and if you are a consultant and have never been - make a point to go next year.
I always come home from convention with a brain full of ideas and spend the first week home just brain dumping and shifting products to prepare for the new products to come in.
I was so thankful Mike and I spend a few days BEFORE convention in Vegas just goofing off because after convention I really wanted to be home playing with some paper.
I will be having a Scrapbooking Supplies Garage Sale
August 11, 2018
I have information and the RSVP over in my facebook group. Click the link below if you are not already a member.
This week I found myself off work so I am in full filming mode. I am trying to film as much as possible so you have plenty of classes and workshops over on the YouTube channel for your viewing pleasure.
I have one more scrapbooking layout to film this morning and three card workshops. One of the card workshops will be the Fresh Air cards that come with the scrapbooking workshop cutting guides. It will be Fresh Air Cards 2.0
During the original video I had a major brain fart and forgot to order the stamp set that was used in the workshop, so I improvised and taught how to use stamps in your own stash with the new designs. But I love the original card so much that I ordered the stamps and I will be filming this class again with the "proper" supplies. They really are worth it.
If you have not been over to the channel lately, click the link below join in on the fun.
I post new videos every Sunday.
All you have to do is order the supplies for the class you would like to play along with and watch the videos. There is a link on every video for the kit that is needed for that workshop.
You can watch the videos as many time as you would like.
It is time to get in gear and start filming.
I hope you have a great day!
