I have have doing so much hand stitching that my fingers are about to fall off by boy have I been having fun!

The layout photos are a little funky because it was super bright today and the photos are from cell phone cameras at various events.  In person the layouts  are beautiful if I do say so myself. 

 

I have just a few more layouts and touch up and this project will be put to bed!  I mean I am not behind at all … Kaela is only in the 11th grade this year.  (hee hee)

Exciting News!

We have some exciting news in the Perry Household….

After 12 years as almost always happy  employee  of  Texas Health Presbyterian Allen / Plano,  I am going to be “retiring” from the hospital no later than December 30, 2013! 

Mike and I have been working hard towards this goal and it is finally happening.  We could not be happier. 

Why so far out you ask?  Well a couple of reasons.

1. I want to be able to train my replacement

2.  It is very close to the holidays (in the hospital world) and I think it is rude to leave your co-workers and friends hanging during one of the busiest times of the year.

After speaking with my Supervisor and Director we came up with a plan that well benefit all of us. 

This also means that Karen has to come to crop night more often!

What does this news mean for you?

Well it means that I will be a full time CTMH consultant! 

Have you been wanting to learn how to make cards and your consultant has been to sleepy to show you?   This will be no more. 

Have you wanted to come play on a Monday morning but it is your CTMH Consultant work day at the hospital?  Well this will be no more.

I will be able to work on your schedule (I hope)   

I am hoping to ramp up my availability to you to suite your needs better.

(Can you tell I am just a little excited?)

It is going to be a GREAT NEW YEAR!

Project Inspirations: Mixed Papers

Crop Room 2013

Many of you know that  a couple of years ago I re-claimed the game room of my house from the teenager and turned it into the “Crop Room”.  Before this when we wanted to crop we were crammed into the living room or dining room  of my house like this:

I think I have the Crop Room almost the way I want it.  It needs one more coat of red paint and I need some valences on the windows but here it is today.

I can still seat 6 people around the tables with me sitting in the middle.  That little splash of yellow on the red wall is the Cricut machine. Then there is the corner that I use as my “light box”. It works out really well there.

On this wall I have all of the CTMH “how to” books along with hand made cards that I sell.  I am so happy we have a little more room to play.

Baby Shower Invitations

Remember last weekend when I said that I was working on a set of baby shower invitations for a friend at work who is about to welcome her first grandbaby?  Well I finished the set today! 

I did not work on them at all during my work rotation so I really only spent a couple of days pulling them together.  I am so happy with the way they turned out.  I hope the mommy to be loves them too.

The colors are Blush and Slate.  Here is the list of supplies if you would like to make this invitation for yourself.

About 2 sheets of color cardstock was used.  I used 8 sheets of White Daisy cardstock to cut the card bases (6x6) and 2 sheets of the Babycakes B&T were used to make a total of 15 invitations.
