Sugar Rush WYW - Big News!!!!
Big News !!!
Have you ever wanted to come to a workshop but did not have the time?
Do you live too far away to drive in for a workshop?
Are you shy?
Well if you said yes to these questions I have a solution for you. I started a You Tube Channel (badge found on right sidebar) and I will be posting videos of the workshops to You Tube.
That means that YOU can purchase the paper from this blog site or my CTMH website and then watch the video at home, while still in your jammies, at your convenience. How cool is that!
My daughter (Kaela) is editing the first video as we speak so that we can get it posted quickly. She will be teaching me how to edit on my own soon.
We will be posting the Sugar Rush WYW very soon, but here is the schedule I will be "teaching" via You Tube.
January 2017 - Sugar Rush
February 2017 - Hello Lovely
March 2017 - Dreamin' Big
April 2017 - Some Kinda Wonderful
You are welcome to order the workshops any time from Jan - April but they will no longer be available for sale after April 2017. Although the You Tube version of each workshop will be available anytime after it is launched.
Note: I personally would not wait until April to purchase the workshops. Once they sell out they will not be restocked.
I am working on a new camera set up and I do not have it perfected just yet but here are some photos if the Sugar Rush layouts.
I am super excited about this new way (for me) to be able to bring workshop classes to you.
Let's get this show on the road!

Circle Thank You
If you follow me on Facebook, then you know that I posted this card there on Monday with the intention of blogging here with more details later that day....
That did not happen.
Kaela is still home for the holidays from UNT and she has taken over my scraproom with sticker making - that is a long story for another time. But she has also been helping me re-configure my "light box" situation so I am not going to complain too loudly... and the fact that she is also making me planner stickers.
Anyhoo-
Back to the main topic.
This is the card that I was working on last Monday. It has a simple look but took me much longer than expected to complete. Want to see the inspiration artwork?
(impressrubberstamps.com)
I love the simple design of this card so much along with the bright colors so I just searched my stash of stamps and colors to see if I could get as close as possible to the original design. Then I went overboard.....
I wanted the card to be as "flat" as possible for mailing purposes so I did not embellish too much but I had to add matting because my original try did not look as clean as the original.
Supplies used:
Stamps:
It's the Little Things S1411
Mother's Day B1551
(from the Mother's Day WYW kit G1122)

Lemon
I have a few other cards that I found inspiration from Pinterest this week that I will be working on over the weekend.

Thin Cuts Binder
Last month when I was attending a local consultant meeting, one of my friends pulled up a You Tube video of someone making a "Thin Cuts Binder". I am going to be honest and for a split second I thought "why?" - then I watched the video and decided I NEEDED to make one for myself.
So you answer your "Why" question....
CTMH is selling the thin cuts in a couple of different formats. One format is with a matching stamp set. The other format is a stand alone thin cut.
It was the stand alone sets that were causing me trouble or so I thought....
My binder just came in and I thought "Yay!!! Now I can get organized".
Little did I know just how dis-organized I really was when it came to these thin cuts. I had some in with the stamps and some in a bucket and some yet in the coordinating paper pack.
Now that I have the binder I have all of the thin cuts in the binder with a note on the back on what stamp set goes with it and where that stamp is in my filing system.
Well all but one... I can not find my Anchor Thin Cuts to save my life.
Supplies:
Everyday Life Album - Stripes Z9979
4x6 page protectors Z3192
Such a simple solution for a problem I did not realize I had.
