It has been a while since I have been in my scraproom.
We moved Kaela to far North Texas to live with her grand parents because they are closer to the university and moved my mother in to our house full time. So I have had people coming and going all summer.
As much as we hate it sometimes crafting takes a backseat to life.
BUT.... BUT....
Remember back in May when I bought a used typewriter from Ebay? It worked great until I put a new ribbon on then it stopped working. I have fiddled with it for a bit but we all know how I am when it comes to fixing things (no talent there) so I am going to donate it to the second hand store with a note describing the problem and maybe someone will know how to fix it and love it again. I only paid $25 for it on Ebay so I am content with this solution.
This does not leave be without a typewriter because...
(photo from Michaels website)
I found a vintage looking brand new typewriter from We R Memory Keepers and it is PINK! But that is not the only fun feature for me.
Pink
Small
Vintage looking
Uses standard replacement ribbon
No plugs needed (Manual Machine)
Goes clank, clank when in use
It just makes me happy.....
Why do I need a typewriter?
Besides the fact that I just missed having one in the house, I love writing letters on a typewriter, use it in my planner, and making journalling cards in my scrapbooking and in a pinch if I hate my hand writing that day - addressing envelopes.
I need some practice because I have not used a manual machine since I was little but that in itself can be fun too.
