Well the surgery went well and I am back to myself, and chopping at the bit to get some scrapbooking done. I spent yesterday putting my house in order, laundry and getting some cooking done just so I could play all day today!
I was home for a couple of days last week and tried to do some layouts with anesthesia still on board – yea they look exactly like you are thinking! But after some thought I decided that I would post those too so you can see that not every layout has to be a “perfect 10”. So with my trusty pug at my side and the IPod playing the Twilight score, I will put forth the layouts I worked on during this past week.
These are still photos of the week we spent in Florida 2008 for the Close To My Heart Convention. You will see papers that are not CTMH, but since I do not have a scrapbook store near me, I splurged and spent some money in a local Orlando store and picked up “theme” papers for some of the parks in the area.
Made with CTMH Topstich papers
Back ground papers are from Orlando but all cardstock is CTMH
This is the “stickles” technique I was working on one night. I painted the stickles on to the letters because I wanted a shimmer effect. I think it turned out really well.
Here is the start of the “Anesthesia pages”
I thought this looked “great” with drugs on board …
note to self listen to the 13 year old when she says “It sucks”
Mike likes the stitching so I thought I would post an up close shot.
Beach pictures using the Summer Celebration color family
The background paper is from Orlando but the cardstock is from CTMH All stickers are from NASA.
The paper is from Sarsaparilla paper pack. I am going to have to buy more of this paper. I love it!
I am still working on finishing out some layouts from the Air Boat ride, so I think I will let you get back to your day and I will start to play. I have missed being in my scraproom!
