Tween Birthday

Most of the birthday's in the Perry Family are clustered together so I have no problem getting cards to the right people at the right time.

Except Devon.....

This poor kid, every year I get his birthday WRONG!  For some reason I keep thinking that it is October 4th and it is really October 1st and to make matters worse it always sneaks up on me.

This year I felt even more like a toad because I did not even call him on his birthday because I was still thinking it is the 4th.  So I made him a fantastic card and stuck some cash inside.
That makes him happy.

I love finding my card inspirations on Pinterest and this time I found a true winner for the card I wanted to make for Devon.

Here is the card that I made:

Products used:
Chalk It Up (G1061)
I used leftovers from the Workshop On The Go Kit
Joyful Birthday (B1419)
Sweet Moments (C1435)
Long retired stamp (Frame Image)
Lagoon Ink (Z2195)
Sorbet Ink (Z2164)
Lagoon Cardstock
 (I used scrap pieces)
Black Glitter Paper  (Z1829)
"12" Cricut Artbooking Collection (Z1906)
Black DMC Embroidery Thread ( Black 310)
Black CS for card base

Techniques used:
Tone on Tone
Masking
Stitching
Stamping
Cricut

Now let me show you my inspiration:

I love that I can find a inspiration card and then let my imagination run wild.  I can stay true to the original design and still put my mark on the creation.

What I love most of all is that scrapbookers and card-makers  love sharing art and techniques so we can all learn from each other.  Because one card-maker shared her idea I now have a fabulous card for my Devon.

Keep Scrapping!
Keep Sharing!
