Way Behind…..

I am way behind on my organization!

I do not worry about being behind on my scrapbooking because I am normally so Type A about my organization and pre-journaling the photos I want to scrap.

I know I have blogged in the past about how I stay organized so I know that you understand my process.  Where I am failing is that I did a spot check and found that I have not printed or finished the journaling  my 2011 & 2012 family album info. (WHAT!)

I was relived that I did get the memories of the Epic Road Trip 2011 done so I just had to print the photos and match up the journal blocks.  So 2011 is not as bad as I thought it would be.  I just have to make some journal blocks for about 5 topics for this album.  I also decided that I was NOT going to make a separate “vacation” album this year – just to change it up a bit.

For this batch I only printed 2011 and I printed 192 photos! As soon as I get these organized I will start on 2012.  I will not make another card or layout until this little job is done.  I think I will be done by Sunday Smile

Do Not Forget!!

Crop is this Saturday!

July 27th

BE THERE or miss the fun!

Age Is Just A Number

Opps!

I thought I already blogged about this card but then I found it on my camera.  It is the last card that I made for the set of cards that I was making for Aunt Jackie.

I used the last little bit of my “Dreamin” paper and was able to get 12 cards out of the little bits that was left.

IMG_1536

I found this card on Pinterest.  I love the artwork that is posted there!  I tried to follow the pin backward to find who made the original but it was a broken link.   For the life of me I can not find the pin again.  It is a direct scrap lift with no changes – I thought the original was that perfect!

To the Original Artist: Thank you!

Surf’s Up

I took Kaela over to Hobby Lobby because she needs to find a job Smile  She loved the fact that she could work for a company that is as creative as she is.  But she needs to go for the job first.  (so far no word…..)

But while we were there I found a very interesting ribbon that screamed that it wanted to be used with the Surf’s Up paper!  Yes I know that it is contraband but it is so pretty!

IMG_1537

I was getting low on “Thank you” cards and this fits the bill.  It is summer and it is fun.  So if you place an order from me in the near future you might get this card in the mail Smile

Note:  All other product is CTMH the only contraband is the ribbon.

This card was also found on Pinterest and it is direct scrap lift.  If you are the original artist…. Thank you!

What A Busy Day!

Oh, I thought this day was going to be a simple do laundry and play in the scraproom kind of day.  WRONG!

I was lounging downstairs about to eat some breakfast since I was hitting hour 10 of being awake.  Smile  I checked my calendar just to make sure that yes I did have a free day… and found that not only was the housekeepers coming in but I also had the installers coming to put in the new French Doors going to the backyard!  Holy Cow I was still in my jammies!

First things first…. get dressed!

Mom, Kaela and I all jumped into high gear.  We cleaned the kitchen fast and then proceeded to get all of the travel gear out of the front room so the girls could CLEAN.  Thankfully I was almost finished with the laundry that I was working on all night so that was a relief.

Here is only part of when the doors where going in.

french doors

I had to catch the ankle bitter as she was about to grab one of the workers as he was pulling out the door.  I thought she was going to stay in Kaela’s room but nope she came running down the stairs and almost made it out the door before she found herself in the crate next to the pug.  Big gaping whole in my house and the fence is open… puppy jail for those two.

Now that the door is in….. all my laundry is done…. all travel crap is put away and the house is CLEAN I needed a nap.  I was finally able to go back to bed at 1pm and I slept until 8pm. (oops).

But let me show you what else I was able to get done today.  These are two of the card designs that I found on Pinterest to make for my Aunt.

Original:

Numbers birthday

The inspiration came from http://pondersbyannie.blogspot.ca/

Here is my version

The ribbon and embossing folder  I used is the only items that is not CTMH but it seemed to fit the theme I have going.

My version made from the above inspiration

I am not finished with this card just yet.  I still want to make the liner and stamp the envelope but I love how it is turning out.

Since I managed to get so much done today – it might be a great time to try and go back to bed so I can play again tomorrow.

See you soon!

Birthday Requests

My Aunt Jackie made a rare request of the 4th of July.  She does so much for so many people and has for years and she asked me for one simple set of birthday cards.

AUNT JACKIE UNCLE DEMP

I found about 10 different card designs on Pinterest that I want to play with.  So I am spending tonight doing laundry and working on cards for this special lady.  I hope what I have in my head and what I found on Pinterest end up being the kind of cards I would be proud to send to her.

I will post photos as I finish each design.

Wish me luck!

Back to the Real World!

We LOVE going on vacation!  Love the planning, the dreaming and then the actual vacation.  It has been a tornado of a trip over 2 weeks and I have tried to bring you along for the ride with this blog.

We left to start coming home with the intent of getting very close to Alabama before stopping for the night.  But I called a few hotels and found that all of them were booked since it was 4th of July!

Garmin to the rescue!!!! I found a Holiday Inn within 17 miles of where we were – called and they had a room opened and agreed to hold it for us.  Garmin told us where to go but when we got there it is not a Holiday Inn anymore.  Mom and Kaela wanted to soak in a tub and told Mike and I several times during the trip.  After speaking with the front desk we found out that they had a Jr. Suite with a hot tub.

I needed to see the room first so they gave me a key.

Think Motel 6 with a hot tub right beside the bed.

It was clean and cheap so we took 2 rooms but only told mom about one of the rooms.   We pull up to the room and  all of us went into the room.

Mom and Kaela see a room with a small seating area, bathroom, hot tub and a king size bed right next to it.  They asked where they were going to be sleeping so I told them that ALL us would be in the one bed ….

the looks on their faces!!!!!

PRICELESS

I almost wet myself laughing!!!

Mike and I quickly left before they could hit us!

After a soak in the tub and a good nights sleep Mike pointed the truck towards home and we did not stop again until we were HOME!  It was a little of 12 hours with potty and food breaks.

It was so nice to sleep in my own bed last night.

So today I began opening all of the boxes that came to the house while we were gone.  Between the pets and the mail I have a feeling that Michelle was very busy while we were gone.

IMG_1530

I ordered 7 of the 8 bundles from convention and almost have every new product in the Fall and Winter Catalog.

I am still trying to think of a good way for you to see everything on crop night July 27, 2013 at 6:00pm.

IMG_1531

IMG_1532

Ticket stubs, room keys, maps, pins and postcards all need to be put away so that I can find them when time to scrap.

Then I need to start getting

IMG_1533

You really want to come to crop night this month.

July 27, 2013 at 6:00pm.

First – I will be passing out the new catalog. No waiting for it in the mail

Second – You will be able to see almost all of the new products in the catalog before you buy!

And just because I can not help myself here are couple of the last shots we took at the beach.

One Last Photo!

P1030451

That sums it up!

Last Day of Convention

I am so sad that another convention has come to a close. I always come back so jazzed!  This year they changed up the lineup just a tad and had a creative session before the last general session.

I was able to catch Janene and Rhonda playing ….

IMG_1003

They were making the necklace project while I wanted to work on cards.  I only made one card because I was also taking photos and spending time catching up with friends.

One of my favorite parts of closing general session is the Q & A session with the Founder of CTMH Janette Lynton.  There is always a laughter along with information about the state of the company.

IMG_1005

I am not going repeat the conversations other than we laughed until I had to run to the ladies room and I do mean RUN!

It is always a sad time at the end of a wonderful 3 days of like minded paper junkies.

It seems we will have to all meet again at Disneyland!

Twilight Hours

As part of my convention ticket I was given a free Twilight Disney ticket so I bought Mike and Kaela a ticket and we were off to Disney!

IMG_0720

Kaela took this photo for us.

IMG_0715

It was raining all day and I love how the clouds look with the castle.

So pretty!

IMG_0727

This is Belle’s Castle.  Inside this castle is the Be My Guest Restaurant. We went up to inquire about getting in and found out that there is a 6 month waiting list for a reservation!  We did not have one.

The hostess said to go and ask the person in the castle if there have been any cancelations and sure enough we were inside in less than 10 minutes!

IMG_0763

IMG_0766

Kaela is having French onion soup and I had the best potato and leek soup I have ever tasted!

Ok it is the only potato leek soup I have ever tasted but it was goooooood!

IMG_0768

Kaela noticed that the snow was blowing in the window!  She loved it!

IMG_0770

Yes the steak looks burnt but it was perfect!

IMG_0771

Mike has the Salmon – he does love his fish!

IMG_0772

Kaela had a shrimp and scallop puff pastry. She loved it!

IMG_0774

Here comes The Beast!

I loved time at Disney with my family!

First Day From My Camera

IMG_0648

I am finally at my Aunt Jackie house and I have a good internet connection.  I was trying to post from the hotel and for some reason it just would not load.

anyhoo….

Here is the agenda for the convention for a wonderful 3 days of sisterhood (a few brothers) and creative madness.

IMG_0650

Here are over 1000 ladies waiting for the first general session to start.  We are so excited!

IMG_0657

As you can see we get very excited over PAPER!!!!

These two ladies are creative powerhouses!

During opening session Janette Lynton made her appearance and the place went crazy. Smile

IMG_0673

CLOSE TO MY HEART all came from the beautiful women.  I would love to have an afternoon of crafting with her.  Talk about a dream come true….. Well I can dream. Smile

LUNCH!!!!

IMG_0701

After a very yummy lunch it was time for our first creative session

IMG_0704

IMG_0707

I opened the first pack that we were given and about 100 cricut cuts fell out and I just put them back in the bag because I know that I will be more creative at home when I am not worried about loosing all of my cuts off the side of the table.  I did make a card before it was time to meet up with my family for Twilight Disney hours.  What a wonderful first day!

Speaking of Team Meetings

At the start of every convention my upline – Janene Wawro and her upline – Michelle Snyder have a team meeting.  This give us a chance to see people in our teams from across the country and have a small bit of recognition within our team for our past year.

IMG_0641

This year I was called up for 3 categories.

I was so shocked that I can not remember what place but as soon as Janene or Michelle post the photos I will share.

My categories were:

Individual sales

Team Sales

Internet Sales

I did not even think to give my camera to someone for photos!

oops!
