A Close To My Heart workshop is as easy as 1, 2, 3:
Playing off of Angela Tutton’s design that I scrap lifted I made this card. With both the Sympathy card and this card I made extra to use for my to give to my customers and to sell at my next expo.
When I am making cards I normally make 5 or 6 for myself and then 4 more to sell. I have a card stand in my crop room that my customers can purchase cards from and I also take this stand with me to expos. It takes just a few minutes to make just a few cards.
So at the end of this crop night I have 18 Thank You cards, 10 Sympathy cards and 10 Just Because cards. Not bad if I do say so myself.
I am in love… I love the Bliss paper pack! I broke into my Bliss workshop early to re-create a card scrap lifted from Angela Tutton. I love how easy it was and how elegant it turned out.
I am going to have to order more Bliss paper to have enough for workshop May 20th.
Thank you Angela!

We such a blast tonight and let me say the creative energy was rocking! Lynn and I started playing at 3:00 pm then Amy and Tiffani came at 6:00 pm to join the fun.
I normally do not start crop so early in the day but Lynn had a chance to come play so that gave us the rare opportunity to catch up just the two of us.
So what did I get done tonight?
This is the same card design from the video with a few sparkles. The idea came from a sister CTMH consultant “Janice Wilson”. I finished making 18 more for my customers and a couple to sell next time I work an expo.
Supplies used:
Outdoor Denim Cardstock
New England Ivy Cardstock
Crème Brule Ribbon
A little Thanks Stamps (D1444)
Sparkles are contraband
Mike & Kaela have been hinting that I should start making videos and after a little practice I have found that I like it! This is the first of I hope many to come. It is raw with no editing and I am still learning.
Please bear with me for I am a blonde :-)
Aspiration Thank you Card
I made this card for Catherine Hayden using a brand new technique I just learned. I will have to say this card took the longest I have ever spent making a card of any kind but it turned out great! So far this is the only flower that I have been able to fold correctly but with a little practice I think I will have it.
I am going to have to figure a way of making the flower not so high because it will not fit into an envelope. It stands 1/2 inch tall! Catherine your card will be coming in a funky envelope… hope you do not mind. :-)
Idea came from: Violet Bebich (a CTMH sister)
It is close but I am finished making the Thank You cards for work. They will get delivered today but I wanted to share with you how they turned out.
I think they turned out really well. I printed a sentiment on the inside and now I just need to get everyone in the department to sign all 19 of the cards.
Wish me luck!
When I developed the 2010 photos I noticed that there were WAY too many Palo Duro photos to just to a couple of layouts.
Sooooo, you know what that means:
An entire VACATION ALBUM just for PALO DURO CANYON!
Here are the first 11 pages that I have been working on:
This will be the first page. I normally have trouble getting the “Title Page” done but this photo does the trick.
I saved my “Passages” paper pack just for these vacation photos and I still have some “Back Country” paper left over that I think I will filter in. I am in love with how well the colors are working with the landscape photos.
I could not asked for any better papers.
Volunteer Week @ Texas Health Plano Emergency Department is coming up fast! Last year I made cards for the March of Dimes baby baskets and cards for Doctors week but I ran out of time for those this year but I do have time to make cards for:
Volunteer Week
We have 19 wonderful ladies and gentlemen that come everyday to help us be the best we can be. So here are the components I will use to make the thank you cards to go into their gifts that we are making. I have until Sunday night but am going to shoot for Saturday so that we have time for everyone in the department to sign each card before hand.
I will post a finished card when done.
I will post a list of supplies soon but I think I need some dinner before I get started again. Wish be luck!
